WFN Raises Funds for The Pattaya Orphanage

Every year, at the Annual Member Meeting, World Freight Network is proud to raise funds for local charities. This year, the chosen charity was The Pattaya Orphanage. This wonderful organisation provides lodging, food and education services for poor children. Currently The Pattaya Orphanage takes care of approximately 160 orphans, ranging from newborns to those studying at university level.

Dalia Terret manages the fundraising at WFN and is excellent in her role. Essentially, raffle tickets are purchased and at the same time as contributing to charity, the WFN Members are able to win some wonderful prizes.

The majority of the prizes are provided by the WFN Members themselves; they take the time to choose something significant from their country and to bring it to the event, an example of their generous spirit. Additionally, the hotel provides a prize of two free nights' stay and WFN Founder, Kelly Bunyan, contributes the gift of a free pass to the next year's Meeting.

As well as the raffle, WFN holds an 'auction.' Tim Taylor, from Worldwide Logistic Partners in Chicago, USA, very kindly provides the world's latest 'gadget'...anything from an iPad to Sony's latest camera and then the bidding war begins. This year it was a GoPro Camera and this year Paul Madden from Map International in New Caledonia won the bidding for $300 USD, thank you Paul for your generous contribution.

Kelly states: "We are blessed with good health and fortunate enough to be able to travel throughout the world. As a result, it is right and proper that we contribute to the people in need in the local community, in whichever country we visit. I am truly proud of our Members for their outpouring of generousity every year. I am so impressed by the work that The Pattaya Orphanage is carrying out and hope that WFN's contribution can help reach more children in need of their loving, kind help."
