WFN Collaborates with 21st Ballast Water Management Conference

ACI’s 21st Ballast Water Management Conference will once again bring together senior executives and experts from Shipping Companies, technology providers, leading associations and top service providers to discuss the latest challenges and developments making an impact on the industry.

The 2017 event took place in Antwerp, Belgium and brought  together industry professionals from organisations including BIMCO, Bocimar, Port of Amsterdam,  DHI, Alfa Laval, Lloyd’s Register and many more.

This year’s edition will look at the current state of the industry in depth and look into potential new solutions to ship-owners, as well as analyse the experiences faced by the industry since the ratification took place. The Conference will also attempt to look into the future of the industry and predict how things will develop in the coming years.

Due to time implications and various regulation changes many questions are left to be answered. How will type approval effect the deadlines for compliance? What current options are available for the ship-owners? How are suppliers going to guarantee the systems meet requirements for both regulatory bodies?

ACI’s 21st Ballast Water Management Summit will provide essential, expert guidance to shipowner/operators on how to prepare for and manage the BWT Systems in terms of selection, installation and technical operations, as well as advice on compliance, PSC and regulation once the convention is in place. The conference will also address Type Approval and system excellences for the BWT System Manufacturers. Visit Website

WFN Collaborates with 17th Vessel Efficiency and Fuel Management Summit

ACI’s 17th Vessel Efficiency and Fuel Management Summit will be the best place to identify priority areas for international action against Global Sulphur Cap 2020 and exchange best practices in fuel management and discuss the latest developments in maritime energy-efficient technologies.

With the enforcement of Emission Control Area (ECA) and fuel / sulphur regulations across the world as well as nearing to the Global Sulphur Cap of 2020 to be implemented, this conference will specifically focus on the regulations affecting vessel operations and companies in Singapore Waters. We will further scrutinise the technologies available to assist with compliance as well as innovations to track and manage performance and specific fuel-efficiency improving equipment, plus analysis and practical feedback of how to increase overall efficiency and performance by minimising the fleet’s energy demands. Also, study existing collaboration models and sustainability journeys of ship owners, port authorities and terminal operators.

Essentially, the focus will be on how shipowners & the maritime industry can benefit from higher return on investment (ROI) and optimise their performance with the latest vessel efficiency technology available. The two day event will bring together key industry stakeholders from the Maritime industry, including Shipowners, Ship-managers and associated solution providers, fuel solutions, IT and data associations, consultants, and technology providers. WFN Collaborates with Heavy Turkmenistan 2018

We are pleased to announce the 1st International Conference HEAVY CASPIAN: TURKMENISTAN to be held on October 1-3, 2018 in the Awaza Resort Area Congress Center, Turkmenbashi. The conference is focused on transportation and installation of heavy-lift, oversized and project cargoes in the independent & neutral Turkmenistan.

On the whole in 2017, the Turkmen economy went on demonstrating fine macroeconomic performance. As of the end of the year, the GDP growth reached 6.5 percent which is 0.3 percent higher than in 2016. The fuel and energy sector – the flagship of national economy and industry – is under dynamic development. Financial and social stability is intact accompanied by prompt response to challenges from the outside and adaptation to changes of economic conditions.

High economic indicators were ensured by active investment policy. As emphasized by the President of the country Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, huge funds are currently being invested in the economy – about USD 50 billion. Approximately 1,700 major facilities costing over USD 42 billion are under construction in the country. The share of investments in the country’s economy is more than 32% of GDP at the end of the 1st quarter of the present year. Among the most important investment projects under implementation is Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) Gas Pipeline Construction Project. Construction in the Afghan part of the gas pipeline kicked off this February. Construction of Turkmenbashi Sea Port is finished; construction of the gas chemical complex for production of polyethylene and polypropylene, development of the Galkynysh Gas Field and other critical infrastructure projects are under completion.
