WFN Donation to Charity: Indonesia 2019

Each year, at our annual meeting, World Freight Network is proud to raise money for a local charity. This year, the chosen charity was Bali Life Foundation. This amazing organisation describes themselves as 'a small charity with a big heart.' Bali Life runs various projects for the disadvantaged, including a children’s home, a street kids project, a women’s centre, a sustainability project and an education project.

Dalia Terret manages the fundraising at WFN and is excellent in her role. Dalia sells raffle tickets to the members so that as well as contributing to the charity, they are able to win some wonderful prizes.

The majority of the prizes are provided by the WFN Members themselves; they take the time to choose something special and bring it to the event, which is a great example of their generous spirit. The members also bring extra toys, sweets and games for the children. Additionally, the hotel provides a prize of two nights' stay and Kelly Bunyan, WFN Managing Director, contributes the gift of a free pass to the next year's annual meeting.

Some of the children, brought by the charity's representatives, visited the meeting room to collect the money raised. Later, Kelly received a lovely letter of thanks from the Bali Life directors:

Kelly states: "We are all privileged to be able to travel throughout the world for business and pleasure. It is therefore right and proper that we make a contribution to people in need in the local community, in whichever country we visit. I am truly proud of the WFN members for their generosity and we're so happy to support the work that Bali Life Foundation is carrying out here."
