Three Lines Shipping & Logistics, Qatar, Complete Large Shipment

Three Lines Shipping & Logistics, WFN Members in Qatar, recently completed a large shipment together with fellow Members Herfurth Logistics in Belgium.

Patric Lundin, General Manager at Three Lines Shipping & Logistics stated, "We recently completed a 164 ton shipment, here is some background in bullet points:

• This enquiry came to Three Lines Shipping & Logistics from our regular client “Doha Petroleum Construction Co. Ltd.” (DOPET)´.

• DOPET is a leading Oil & Gas contractor in the region, and was established in 1981 to cater to the oilfield services, and have now grown to become one of the largest engineering and construction services companies in the State of Qatar. They have entrusted us at Three Lines Shipping & Logistics to provide freight forwarding services for them for several years now.

• The shipment consisted of 4 massive Heat Exchangers, , each weighing in at 41 tons, manufactured in France by the Swedish company Alfa Laval. Herfurth Logistics in Belgium did an excellent job in providing origin services in France, including collection at the factory, loading the cargo onto 4 MAFI trailers, and booking the cargo with a EUKOR Car Carrier Vessel out of Antwerp.

• Upon arrival at Doha Seaport we at Three Lines Logistics had to arrange a 130 ton crane, as well as a 80 ton crane for the off-loading from the MAFI’s and loading onto the low-bed trailers.

• DOPET’s end customer in turn was Qatar Petroleum, the state owned Oil & Gas company, which currently is the world’s 3rd largest Oil & Gas company (by Oil & Gas reserves) and the final delivery place was in Mesaieed, the industrial city some 50 kms south of the Capital Doha."

It is wonderful to see the WFN Members working well together.
