OrangeBlue Transport Humanitarian Aid to China
OrangeBlue, WFN members in Czech Republic, recently handled the transportation of Humanitarian Aid to China.
Zdeněk Vintr, Air Transportation Manager of OrangeBlue said, "Our company OrangeBlue s.r.o. was approached to help arrange air transportation of humanitarian aid to China. Several forwarding companies were unable to handle the shipment and, upon recommendation, ended the shipment in our hands.
The situation was complicated by the last merger of HAINAN AIRLINES for flight HU 7938 / 07FEB. Shipment in the first phase should be classic air cargo. The deadline for the flight was 6.2. to 19:00. Completely the shipment was handed over at 2:00 pm, where 3 pallets had to be re-packed, documents to be cleared and cleared by airline. At 18:15 we got all the necessary documents and we started customs clearance. The documents were in Chinese and partly English. The customs office requested a translation that complicated the shipment. At 6:51 in the afternoon, we managed to hand over the shipment to the handling partner Skyport.
We dealt with customs clearance in the evening by email to the local authority and we managed to solve everything 7.2. around 9:00. The shipment flew successfully. Another similar event should follow 8 weeks, when a special aircraft will be sent."
