MAP International Share Recent Shipments with WFN Members

Map International, WFN Members in New Caledonia, proudly share 2 of their most recent shipment with fellow WFN Members.

Mr Paul Madden, Manager at MAP states, "We have 2 great success stories that we have completed with WFN agents the last few weeks. I have a list over the 2 years we have been in WFN but these 2 are recent and a good example of WFN Members working well together to receive fantastic results."

The first shipment was between Mission Freight, Rotterdam and MAP.

Paul said, "As a background, this relationship comes from our WFN membership where we had already asked Mission Freight to handle a few jobs for us, straightforward stuff by air & sea but we really solidified the relationship in Beijing last year where we met in the various functions & then played soccer together...  Since then I have to say Patrick & Tamer have become very valued agents & friends to MAP.

We needed to move URGENTLY 1 x 40' Flat Rack, OOG & DG,  EXW terms.  We requested Mission Freight to quote & handle the job for us and we were not let down.  They handled all aspects very professionally which allowed us to have a great confidence when communicating with our client.  It was a very stressful job, we were given less than possible timelines by our client but together we managed to find a solution.  The supplier was quite difficult to deal with & we had to communicate with various offices in France, Romania & Turkey.  Europe to New Caledonia for such cargo is not a straight forward but we completed the project in quick time where our competitors could not & as Tamer once joked to me but it is true - MISSION possible, MISSION completed!"

Next was a shipment between BBA, France and MAP.

Paul stated, "As we work heavily in the mining sector we often get clients with 'rush jobs' & timelines for a delivery yesterday! Last week we had 2000kg of general cargo & another 400kg DG to move by air ex Paris to Noumea. The supplier was more than 3 weeks overdue on production & the mine maintenance shut down has already begun.  Sylvie at BBA has been a champion to deal with, she faced a difficult supplier, found space on aircraft where it didn't exist & got us good rates for a destination with limited services.  BBA rcvd the cargo late Friday 8th July in their warehouse in Orly & it moved on Monday flight to Noumea.  We have delivered that cargo Tuesday 12th to our clients mine site!  S E R V I C E in capitals.  Normally it would wait 10 days for uplift. This exercise was a high value export with critical timing requirements, BBA came through as we expected & honestly, never in doubt.

Again, this is  another relationship struck up in Beijing which has given results to both companies, all thanks to WFN. No pics available but a great story on resource management & human interaction. We annoyed the hell out of Sylvie at all hours of the day (the time zone is not an easy one) and we were not let down in any facet of the job. Speed is an essential ingredient in the freight recipe, not just with BBA & Mission Freight but all our interactions with WFN members are positive & allow us to win many jobs where it may not have been possible with our previous agent contacts.

I look forward to working with more WFN members in the years to come."

So it shows that being a Member of WFN secures not only strong agents to work with in the industry but also cements some firm friendships along the way.
