Hisiang Logistics Charter 7 AN124 Flights
Hisiang Logistics, WFN members in China, have been sharing some of their company’s recent shipments during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Hisiang
have successfully arranged 4 consecutive AN124 Charter Flights containing
medical equipment to assist in the fight against Covid-19.
David
Yan, Director of Hisiang Logistics, said, "After a busy and tough time
with medical PPE transportation, we finally are back to the normal industry
transportation!
COVID-19
Pandemic is still spreading globally and quickly, threatening global lives and
economies. God bless us. May this Pandemic be over soon by the grace of god.
During this special period, most airlines stopped flying due to lockdown
policies in different countries. We were fighting to support our overseas
partners and clients to look for best possibilities. When we heard that our
client 3M/China was facing big urgent orders of 2300CBM ex China to USA we,
together with Volga Dnepr airline, offered 4 full AN-124 charter flights ex
China to Baltimore.

During
these deliveries, we were facing tough challenges like limited ground handling
facilities in PVG airport where more than 300 freighters on daily basis; short
customs window time for deliveries; customs regulations changed frequently;
heavy rain to fight against the water risk etc. Besides these difficulties, all
of a sudden, we were forced to change loading airport from PVG to Nanjing
airport, due to Shanghai airport refusing any further AN124 landing after 29
April. A lot of urgent discussion and re-organization, including aviation permission
and customs issues and cost issues, were cleared quickly and professionally.
Finally we made our successful stories with these challenges. We were proud to
make our efforts to help fighting the virus situation in the USA."
Hisiang
Logistics then arranged a further 3 AN124 charter flights.
David
Yan continued, "A further three AN-124 charters were well-planned and
organized during a short time. On 25 May, 2020, our Kuwait client decided to
change 340 tons equipment from seafreight into airfreight due to the recent
virus lockdown resulting in a big construction delay in Kuwait. Decision was
quick. Delivery was not easy. Considering more than 7 heavy packages ranging
from 35 tons up to 25 tons each, we were discussing with loading master every
day about how to design the shackles and frames and slings. Honestly we are not
drawing designing experts. Luckily we were introduced by France supplier to
seek their contracted engineers to make 7 special frames/slings/shackles within
5 days. Impressive French speed!! Awesome, 5 days during this special period! I
can’t believe it. In order to keep the loading balance of three AN124, 7 heavy
packages were split into 3 flights. The first flight was well co-ordinated in
XCR airport on 09 June ,2020. The second flight was completed on 12 June, 2020.
The last flight will be planned on 14 June, 2020. Cheers for completion of
these beautiful jobs even within such special European travel restriction time.
We wish our life and business can return to normal soon."
