WFN Donates to Local Orphanage in Beijing
For 11 years, World Freight Network has been hosting its Annual Meetings throughout the world. Travelling from one continent to the next, the WFN Meeting started in 2005 in Thailand, then UAE (2006), Vietnam (2007), Athens (2008), Cambodia (2009), Dominican Republic (2010), India (2011), Turkey (2012), Malaysia (2013) , Panama (2014) and this year (2015) in China.
In every country the Network frequents, WFN is proud to raise funds for local charities. This year was no exception. An orphanage in Beijing was chosen.
Dalia Terret manages the fundraising and is excellent in her role. Essentially, raffle tickets are purchased and at the same time as contributing to charity, the WFN Members are able to win some wonderful prizes.
An example of the generous spirit of World Freight Network's Members, is that the majority of the prizes are provided by the Members themselves; they take the time to choose something significant from their country and to bring it to the event. Kelly Bunyan, WFN Founder, is stood above with all the wonderful gifts.
Additionally the hotel provides a prize of two free nights' stay and WFN Founder, Kelly Bunyan, contributes the gift of a free pass to the next year's Meeting.
In just 24 hours and with the generous nature of WFN Members, together they managed to raise $3500 which was FANTASTIC.
Kelly states:
"I am so proud of our Members. Year after year, we manage to raise thousands of dollars for less privileged people than ourselves. We are blessed with good health and fortunate enough to be able to travel throughout the world. As a result, it is right and proper that we contribute to the people in need in the local community. I am so impressed by the work that this year's chosen charity are carrying out and hope that WFN's contribution can help reach more children in need of their generous, kind help."
