You can be assured that when you join WFN, you are joining an excellent network of agents. WFN Management care deeply about the network's reputation and believe that to secure reciprocal business and preserve good reputation, excellence is required. We understand that in such a cut-throat economy, no company can afford to lose business due to the unprofessional operations of an overseas partner. This is why all potential applicants are considered and screened personally by our WFN Chairwoman. We do not accept new Members just to increase our revenue. Applicants have to prove that they will be dynamic Members who are solid both operationally and financially.
We also carry out Bi-Annual Reviews to ensure a high standard of Membership is maintained. A Credit Status page exists in our password protected Member Zone in order to alert members to any 'slow-payers' within our network. This has proven to be the perfect deterrent to encourage WFN Members to abide by our strict Code of Conduct.
FACT: In 2011, 100% of Members honoured all their payments and 99% in 2012. With over 220 companies in our network - this statistic is exceptional and certainly not achievable outside the safety of our freight network. Our Code of Conduct combined with the fact that we meet one another on an annual basis means that WFN Members do all within their power to behave in a decent manner towards their worldwide partners.
Experience has shown that a non-exclusive Membership generates increased business for the entire network. Therefore, each company has an improved chance of finding a compatible company to work with. Moreover, our Members are not required to annul long-standing agency relationships in order to join us. This flexibility creates more business opportunities for YOU.
That said, we believe in intimacy. And we do not intend to have more than 3 Members in any given country (USA and China are not capped in the same way). This way, we have the flexibility of a non-exclusive network, but we maintain the familiarity of an exclusive network. The best of both worlds in one.
WFN actively encourages all Members to attend our Member Meetings. Our meetings are held in different geographical areas each year and as a result, our delegates can extend their trip, adding sales visits to their own customers in that part of the world. Our meetings provide an invaluable forum for discussion between like-minded companies, a really unique opportunity to generate new business. Access To Member Zone
All members are given a username and password which allows them to access the Member Zone. This area contains a large database of information and tools with new features regularly considered and implemented to aid our members.
We recognise that for business to develop within WFN, it is important that all offices communicate clearly, concisely and in a timely manner. This is why we have invested heavily in many communication systems, including:
This secure system allows Members to send a single email to a specific email address, which is then automatically distributed to 700+ WFN workstations. The system is used for all important announcements from the WFN Head Office, as well as proving an excellent tool for Members to promote their new services, the opening of new offices, changes in local procedures, introducing new staff, etc.
Member Rate Request Form
This online system allows our Members to obtain rates from their overseas offices in a fast, efficient manner. Members can select all the representatives in a given country (via a pull down list) or go directly to one particular company. The form requires detailed information on the shipment so that Members are provided with a quick rate without the need for further questions.
Member Contact Details
Each WFN Member is provided with their own Company Profile Page, which contains telephone, fax, email, out of hour’s emergency number, contact names, list of services, MSN, Skype, company profile and photographs of key staff.
WFN Express Quote System
To ensure fast communication within our network, we have introduced the WFN Express Quote System. Simply send a message to 1 email address and it will be automatically forwarded to all the Members in the relevant country to answer. The advantage of this system is that you will get competitive rates from several overseas offices, allowing you to select the most well-matched and compatible company to work with for each individual shipment. WFN Monthly Newsletters
Monthly Newsletters are distributed to all WFN offices containing the latest news and updates within our network. Every issue also includes a ‘Member of the Month’ article. An archive of all WFN Newsletters is kept in the Member Zone.
WFN is promoted globally using both the internet and trade magazines to ensure that the name of our organisation and our Members' companies are promoted to the decision makers and key players in our industry. We also listen to our Members and develop ideas and tools that will help them in their daily working lives.
Every month our Google Advert (pictured below) receives 100,000s of impressions. This, together with our continued efforts with search engine optimization help the WFN name become better known, and we hope this will create more business for our Members.
