The WFN Head Office is run by WFN Chairwoman, Miss Kelly Bunyan and is assisted by Mr Sam Wilcox.  

 

The WFN Head Office contains the latest technology for us to keep our finger on the pulse of networking and business development.  This enables us to provide our Members with an unrivalled quality of service, with quick responses and the ability to achieve excellent network growth and development.
 
The objectives of the WFN Head Office are as follows: 

 

1) To establish a global network of independent forwarders who adhere to our Code of Ethics

2) To provide Members with the opportunity to compete on a global scale with market leaders.

3) To provide Member Meetings as a forum for Members to strengthen business alliances. 

4) To present new ideas and raise the profile of the WFN and its Members.

5) To ensure that WFN Head Office operates in an efficient manner.

 
One of the secrets of our success is that our Management are not active freight forwarders. They are able to guide and develop WFN with an unbiased view.  They take care of all WFN Members from an impartial position.

 

 

All potential applicants for WFN membership are considered and screened personally by our WFN Chairwoman.  No application is accepted without satisfactory trade references.  This is another one of our success secrets!  We do not accept new Members just to increase our revenue!  Applicants have to prove that they will be dynamic Members who are solid both operationally and financially.
 
WFN Management also carry out Annual Reviews to ensure a high standard of Membership is maintained. The Credit Status page exists in our password protected Member Zone in order to alert members to any 'slow-payers' within our network.  Late payers within our membership will be highlighted, the perfect deterrent to encourage WFN Members to abide by our rules. This system has proven to be very effective in helping to avoid financial losses and improve cash flow within our network..  
 
Our strict Code of Ethics ensures that the interests of our Members are protected at all times and are enforced by the WFN Head Office.

 

 
GLOBAL PRESENCE, LOCAL OFFICES

WFN are sensitive to the problems that exist for privately owned independent forwarders.  This is why WFN exists - to offer independent forwarders a platform to promote their company and services to the global market place.
 
Our concept of forming partnerships on a worldwide scale has enabled highly successful independent companies to work together, making WFN one of the world's leading networks in the constantly growing and changing world of intermodal transportation.

By working in close co-operation, our members provide first class local service on a truly international scale.

 

 

Experience has shown that a non-exclusive Membership generates increased business for the entire network. Therefore, each company has an improved chance of finding a compatible company to work with. Moreover, our Members are not required to annul long-standing agency relationships in order to join us. This flexibility creates more business opportunities for YOU.
 
That said, we believe in intimacy.  And we do not intend to have more than 3 Members in any given country (USA and China are not capped in the same way).  This way, we have the flexibility of a non-exclusive network, but we maintain the familiarity of an exclusive network.  The best of both worlds in one!

 

 

Communication is essential for life in general but in business settings, it is critical. We recognise that for business to develop within WFN, it is important that all offices communicate clearly and concisely and keep their fellow partners up-to-date with their company news. This is why we have invested heavily in many communication systems, including:

 

Allows Members to send 1 email and it is automatically distributed to 500+ WFN workstations.

 

Member Rate Request Form
This online system allows our Members to obtain quick rates from a fellow partners. Members can select all the representatives in a given country (via a pull down list) or go directly to 1 particular company. The form asks for detailed information on the shipment so that Members are provided with a quick rate without the need for further questions!

 

Member Contact Details
Each WFN Member is provided with a full company profile page containing tel, fax, email, out of hours emergency number, contact names, MSN, company profile and photographs of key staff.

 

To ensure fast communication within our network, we have introduced the WFN Express Quote System. Simply send a message to 1 email address and your message will be automatically forwarded to all Members in the relevant country to answer. Full details on this system are provided upon joining.

 

Monthly Newsletters are distributed to all WFN offices containing the latest news and updates within our network. Every issue also includes a ‘Member of the Month’ article. An archive of all WFN Newsletters is kept in the Member Zone.

 

Consequently, the network generated considerable new business for many Members during 2008, and continues to do so in 2009.

 

 

WFN understands that some of the large multinational companies are limited in their operations by fixed guidelines and policies.
